Softball Recap: Clopton Takes a Loss

Clopton and Montgomery County pushed the score to 14-6 the last time they played Montgomery County, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Hawks took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Hawks were not able to get on the board.

Clopton is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3. As for Montgomery County, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Clopton will welcome Louisiana at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Montgomery County, they will head out on the road to square off against Van-Far at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
