Softball Recap: Gainesville's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

After low-scoring totals in their previous five matchup, Gainesville brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. Everything went their way against the West Hall Spartans on Thursday as they made off with a 21-8 win. The Red Elephants might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by eight runs or more this season.

With the victory, Gainesville broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-5. As for West Hall, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Looking ahead, Gainesville will venture away from home to take on Chattahoochee at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.73 runs per game on average), something the Red Elephants will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for West Hall, they will be playing at home against Monroe Area at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
