After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Commerce, Towns County was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Lake Oconee Academy Titans 7-5. This was a revenge game for the Indians: when they faced off against the Titans back in August, they had to take a 7-3 loss.

The team relied heavily on Taylor Mulkey, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Alaina Murphy, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Towns County moved to 3-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Lake Oconee Academy, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-10.

Towns County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 10-9 loss against East Jackson on the 22nd. As for Lake Oconee Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Franklin County on the 22nd.
