Baseball Game Preview: Sutherland Knights vs. East Eagles

The Sutherland Knights will face off against the East Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

On Friday, Sutherland didn't have quite enough to beat Eastridge and fell 8-7. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Livonia typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday East proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victors by a 14-6 margin over the Bulldogs. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by eight runs or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for East and bumps their season record up to 13-4. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Sutherland, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5.

Sutherland came out on top in a nail-biter against East in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, sneaking past 6-4. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
