Baseball Game Preview: Switzerland County Pacers vs. Oldenburg Academy Twisters

The Switzerland County Pacers are taking a road trip to challenge the Oldenburg Academy Twisters at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Wednesday, Switzerland County got the win against Carroll County by a conclusive 11-4.

Braxton Eaglin was excellent, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. Switzerland County is undefeated when Eaglin posts two or more runs, but 3-13 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Landon Gross, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Oldenburg Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against Seton Catholic on Wednesday as they made off with a 13-2 victory. The Twisters haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Switzerland County's record is now 7-13. As for Oldenburg Academy, their record now sits at 3-10.

Switzerland County might still be hurting after the 12-3 loss they got from Oldenburg Academy in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Pacers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
