Westlake got themselves on the board against San Benito on Friday, but San Benito never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Greyhounds 66-0. The Chaparrals have beaten the Greyhounds the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Greyhounds has come to flipping the script.

Rees Wise was the offensive standout of the contest as he threw for 191 yards and one TD while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in November of 2024.

The win got Westlake back to even at 1-1. As for San Benito, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westlake will square off against Atascocita at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for San Benito, they will face off against United at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
