Basketball Game Preview: Valley Christian Academy Lions vs. Bishop Diego Cardinals

Valley Christian Academy is 2-8 against Bishop Diego since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Valley Christian Academy Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Bishop Diego Cardinals at 12:30 p.m. Valley Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Friday, everything came up roses for Valley Christian Academy against Coast Union as the squad secured a 55-10 win. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Bishop Diego beat Cate 33-27 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

Bishop Diego's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-6. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points per game. As for Valley Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
