Recap: Scripps Ranch Falcons vs. Academy of Our Lady of Peace Pilots

In what's become a running theme this season, the Scripps Ranch Falcons gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 69-46 margin over Academy of Our Lady of Peace. Given Scripps Ranch's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 228th, while Academy of Our Lady of Peace is ranked 575th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Scripps Ranch's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Michelle Kramer, who scored 27 points along with eight rebounds. Kramer continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Ree Ree Davis was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with three steals.

Several Pilots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jillian Nowicki, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Samantha Gehler, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.

Scripps Ranch is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Academy of Our Lady of Peace, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-13.

Scripps Ranch will look to defend their home court on Friday against Cathedral Catholic at 6:00 p.m. As for Academy of Our Lady of Peace, they will head out on the road to square off against Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Christian is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
