Soccer Recap: Sheldon Takes a Loss

Sheldon lost against Sioux Center back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Orabs lost 8-0 to the Warriors. While losing is never fun, Sheldon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 171st, while Sioux Center are ranked 20th).

Sheldon's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-7-1. As for Sioux Center, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 10-0-2.

Looking ahead, Sheldon will be playing in front of their home fans against MOC-Floyd Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sheldon are facing MOC-Floyd Valley at the right time seeing as MOC-Floyd Valley are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Sioux Center, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-0 win against Sibley-Ocheyedan on the 5th.
