Football Recap: Dylan Faucher's Big Game Can't Quite Lead St. Michael-Albertville over Eden Prairie

St. Michael-Albertville came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Eden Prairie Eagles, falling 37-13. The Knights have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dylan Faucher, who picked up 90 receiving yards and one touchdown. St. Michael-Albertville also got a significant boost from Wyatt Mosher, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 108 yards.

St. Michael-Albertville's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Eden Prairie, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, St. Michael-Albertville will look to defend their home field on Friday against Edina at 7:00 p.m. The Knights will be up against the Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Eden Prairie, they are taking a road trip to face off against Minnetonka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Skippers' defense has only allowed 10.8 points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them.
