Mater Dei had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.8 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They really took it to the Lynwood Knights for the full four quarters, racking up a 70-30 victory. The Monarchs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 28 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why Lynwood lost, don't look at Shanilah Ewing. Despite the final result, she went 7 for 9 on her way to 15 points. That's the most points Ewing has posted since back in January of 2024.

Mater Dei is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season. As for Lynwood, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-11.
