Soccer Recap: Carpinteria Finishes Even with Orcutt Academy

For the first time since back in November, Carpinteria was forced to settle for a draw on Thursday. They and the Orcutt Academy Spartans finished up their contest with a 2-2 draw. The outcome might've been different if Vivian Huskins hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited her ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Evelyn Lara and Logan Labistour scored both of Carpinteria's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

With that draw, Carpinteria's record moves to 2-3-2. As for Orcutt Academy, they moved theirs to 2-3-1.

Carpinteria will square off against Nordhoff at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Carpinteria is facing Nordhoff at the right time seeing as Nordhoff is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Orcutt Academy, they will be home for the holidays to greet Orosi at 9:00 a.m. on December 20th.
