Football Game Preview: Shepherd Bluejays vs. Clare Pioneers + How To Watch

Shepherd hasn't had much luck against Clare recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bluejays will square off against the Pioneers at 7:00 p.m.

On Friday, Shepherd came up short against Gladwin and fell 25-14.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Clare, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They were the clear victors by a 48-22 margin over Standish-Sterling on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Pioneers considering their seven-point performance the matchup before.

Clare's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Shepherd, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 4-2.

Shepherd took a serious blow against Clare when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 49-0. Thankfully for the Bluejays, Jayden Arthur (who rushed for 69 yards and one score, and also threw for 119 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 75% of his passes) won't be suiting up this time.
