Football Recap: Mccallie Wins High-Profile Contest Against Christ Presbyterian Academy

McCallie faced Christ Presbyterian Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Blue Tornado put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 34-13 victory. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Blue Tornado were the (much) better team in the second half.

McCallie had a senior duo take command as Keeyshawn Schneider Tabuteau picked up 139 receiving yards and four TDs and Elliott Drapeau threw for 220 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes.

McCallie didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Christ Presbyterian Academy to a completion percentage of just 35.3%. The team can thank De'Shun Tipton for the heroic effort on defense: he. McCallie has been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.64 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.64 in their last three games.

Although Christ Presbyterian Academy took the loss, they still got scores from John Spears Wolters and Patrick Maddux.
