            Football Recap: McCook Bison vs. Scottsbluff Bearcats        
        
		
        
        
            McCook faced Scottsbluff in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Bison took a hard  21-7 fall against the Bearcats. The Bison were red-hot offensively heading into the  matchup (they scored no less than 31  points in the four  contests prior), but the Bearcats' defense proved too tough.
 Trenton Raile threw for 155 yards and one  touchdown on only 13 passes.   Miles Pollmann was his top target, picking up 59 receiving yards and one  TD.  On the ground,  Tristan Campbell rushed for 60 yards.
 It was another big night for  Nate Kelley, who rushed for 207 yards and a pair of  scores for Scottsbluff. That's the most  rushing yards  Kelley has posted since back in November of 2024. Scottsbluff also got a significant boost from  Jorden McCarty, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 80 yards.
McCook's  defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. As for Scottsbluff, the  victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
 Coming up, McCook will head out to  face off against Lexington  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Scottsbluff, they will be playing in front of their home fans against York  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
