Washington County extended their winning streak to six on Wednesday, bumping them up to 8-3. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Montgomery County Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Golden Hawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

As for Montgomery County, they are on a 24-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by just one run.

For Montgomery County's part, Grace Richardson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was Richardson's first of the season. Alexis Reaves was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.
