Baseball Game Preview: Beach Bulldogs vs. Groves Rebels

Beach is 1-9 against Groves since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Bulldogs will host the Rebels at 4:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Tuesday, Beach didn't have quite enough to beat The Habersham School and fell 7-6.

Beach got a massive performance out of Jonas Colmenares, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with six stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. DaMario West was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Groves lost 19-1 to Calvary Day on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Rebels in their meetings with the Cavaliers: they've now lost four in a row.

Groves' defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Beach, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Beach suffered a grim 15-2 defeat to Groves when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
