Baseball Game Preview: Stayton Eagles vs. Scappoose Indians

The Stayton Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Scappoose Indians on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Stayton comes in on three and Scappoose on six.

Stayton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 15-14 win over La Grande.

Meanwhile, Scappoose made easy work of North Bend on Tuesday and carried off an 11-2 victory. Considering the Indians have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Scappoose's win bumped their record up to 22-6. As for Stayton, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 22-6.

Stayton skirted past Scappoose 4-3 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
