Baseball Recap: Roxbury Comes Up Short

Seton Hall Prep hit Roxbury with a four-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Gaels lost 9-3 to the Pirates. The Gaels have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Roxbury's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12-1. As for Seton Hall Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.

Roxbury will challenge Ridgefield Park on Wednesday. The Scarlets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Gaels' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Seton Hall Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
