Preview: Castro Valley vs. Alameda
Castro Valley is 8-0-2 against Alameda since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Castro Valley Trojans will be playing at home against the Alameda Hornets at 6:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many goals in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Castro Valley's last matchup on Wednesday was all defense as neither team scored a goal. They and Encinal finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw.
Meanwhile, Alameda's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Berkeley by a score of 1-0.
Castro Valley's draw makes their record 10-3-5 on the season. As for Alameda, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6-3 record this season.
