Softball Game Preview: Pattonville Pirates vs. Parkway West Longhorns

The Pattonville Pirates are taking a road trip to challenge the Parkway West Longhorns at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Pattonville will be strutting in after a victory while Parkway West will be coming in after a defeat.

Pattonville lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Affton, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's contest. The Pirates put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 23-7 win on Monday. The Pirates' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, while it was Parkway West who put the first runs on the board on Monday, it was Fox who put up more. The Longhorns came up short against the Warriors, falling 10-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Longhorns have suffered against the Warriors since September 7, 2016.

Parkway West's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Pattonville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7-1.

Pattonville suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Parkway West when the teams last played back in September of 2023. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
