Softball Recap: Skutt Catholic Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Skutt Catholic can now relate to. They fell 4-1 to the Northwest Vikings on Thursday. The SkyHawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 10-4.

Cassidy Jessen was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

On the hitting side, Skutt Catholic saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Glatter, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Skutt Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 27-7. As for Northwest, the victory (which was their 27th in a row) raised their record to 29-2.

As of now, neither Skutt Catholic nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
