After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dacula, North Paulding was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the Grayson Rams 3-2.
For Grayson's part, Vernon Woodard was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Woodard was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
North Paulding has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Grayson, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.
