Baseball Recap: Dacula Extends Winning Streak to Four

Dacula waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Redan Raiders 14-8. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Reid Dzikowski looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Dacula is 4-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-8 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Reiston Durham was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jacob ? Mayfield, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double.

Dacula kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win got Dacula back to even at 9-9. As for Redan, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.

Dacula didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-3 loss against Grayson on the 22nd. As for Redan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 10-0 victory against Drew Charter on the 25th.
