Larue County has gone a perfect 10-0 against Caverna recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Hawks are taking a road trip to challenge the Colonels at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
While Larue County's victory against Hart County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hawks never let the Raiders get on the board and left with a 2-0 win on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won nine in a row.

The result came thanks to Ellee Marksbury's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Larue County's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brooklynn Skaggs, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Caverna). They blew past Hopkinsville 22-0 on Saturday. Considering the Colonels have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Adreana Salvador was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. Salvador was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Summer Sallee was incredible, going 4-for-5 with four runs, two triples, and two stolen bases. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (five). Another player making a difference was Jayanah Nuckols, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double.
Larue County's record is now 18-6. As for Caverna, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
Everything went Larue County's way against Caverna in their previous meeting last Friday, as Larue County made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
