Green Mountain is 0-10 against Golden since October of 2018 but things could change on Saturday. The Rams will take on the Demons at 10:00 a.m. Green Mountain will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Green Mountain saw some tournament action on Friday. They put the hurt on Jefferson Academy with a sharp 21-3 victory. Considering the Rams have won seven matchups by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Jenna Neuenschwander made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in September of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Linnea Iversen, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Dalilah Camacho, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.
Green Mountain kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. They are 5-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Golden was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They fell just short of D'Evelyn by a score of 3-2.
Daely Peterson made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Green Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Golden, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 10-5.
Green Mountain might still be hurting after the 9-3 loss they got from Golden in their previous meeting on September 9th. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
