Softball Recap: Claxton Takes a Loss

Claxton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 two weeks ago.

Claxton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Emanuel County Institute, they pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Claxton is set to face off against their familiar foe Portal at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Emanuel County Institute will take on rival Metter at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
