Softball Game Preview: Carlisle Wildcats vs. A-D-M Tigers

The Carlisle Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the A-D-M Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Carlisle's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so A-D-M's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Carlisle is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Winterset just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Monday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (7-3), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Meanwhile, A-D-M waltzed into their contest on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came out on top against the Bombers by a score of 11-7. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly four runs.

A-D-M pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Carlisle, their loss dropped their record down to 17-5.

Carlisle came out on top in a nail-biter against A-D-M in their previous matchup two weeks ago, sneaking past 8-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
