Baseball Recap: Douglass Takes a Loss

The Douglass Astros lost 14-4 to the Riverdale Raiders on Wednesday. The Astros have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Quintavious Stone made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. Royer Alejandro Bello was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.

Douglass' loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Riverdale, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5.

While Douglass had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday.
