Soccer Recap: Bloomington Comes Up Short

Bloomington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 4-0 to the Rialto Knights. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 983rd, while the Knights are ranked 326th).

Bloomington's loss dropped their record down to 1-11-1. As for Rialto, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.

Bloomington is taking a road trip to take on San Gorgonio at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. San Gorgonio's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Bloomington's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Rialto, they will welcome Grand Terrace at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Rialto is on a six-game streak of home wins, Grand Terrace a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the pitch.
