Soccer Game Preview: Half Moon Bay vs. San Mateo

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Half Moon Bay duke it out with the San Mateo at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Half Moon Bay took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They never let Capuchino onto the board and left with a 2-0 win. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Cougars were the better team in the second half.

Nathalya Torres and Marcia Lynes scored both of Half Moon Bay's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, San Mateo made easy work of Capuchino on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bearcats, who have now won ten matches by three goals or more so far this season.

San Mateo's win bumped their record up to 11-2-2. As for Half Moon Bay, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 4-10-3.
