Baseball Recap: Tomahawk Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

Tomahawk won against Merrill on Thursday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Hatchets beat the Crandon Cardinals by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-4. For the Hatchets, this counts as revenge for the 8-6 win the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

The victory made it two in a row for Tomahawk and bumps their season record up to 5-8. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Crandon, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Tomahawk will challenge Antigo at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Crandon, they will take on Three Lakes/Phelps at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Three Lakes/Phelps has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
