Neumann Regional Academy extends home winning streak to 11

Recap: Neumann Regional Academy Golden Knights vs. Montgomery Red Raiders

The Neumann Regional Academy Golden Knights entered their tilt with the Montgomery Red Raiders with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Neumann Regional Academy strolled past the Red Raiders with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 53-36. Given Neumann Regional Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 289th, while the Red Raiders are ranked 641st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Neumann Regional Academy had a senior duo take command as GiGi Parlante dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds and Lizzie Weller dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. Parlante has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last 12 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Shanniyah Tutler, who scored eight points along with six assists and three steals.

Neumann Regional Academy's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Montgomery, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Neumann Regional Academy will take on the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Southern Columbia Area comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last eight games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Montgomery, they will be playing at home against the Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
