Softball Recap: Fort Collins Takes a Loss

If Fort Collins was riding high fresh off their 14-6 takedown of Frederick on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lambkins came up short against the Harris County Tigers on Friday, falling 15-3.

Fort Collins saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tatum Kottwitz, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Lauren Slawson, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Fort Collins' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Harris County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Fort Collins has already played their next contest, a 6-2 victory against Grand Junction Central on the 22nd. Harris County has also already played their next match (against Arapahoe), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
