Gering's game  on Thursday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Gothenburg Swedes  a   12-0 shutout. Considering the Bulldogs have won 12 contests by more than five  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Danae Savala made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and not a single walk). That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in September of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI.
 In other batting news, Gering got a  massive  performance out of  Jacelyn Brown, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  double.  Jaleigh Bohac was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and two  RBI.
 Gering  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. They are  a perfect 8-0 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
Gering's record is now 16-9. As for Gothenburg,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 8-12.
 Gering has already played their next matchup,  a  13-0  defeat against Kearney on the 26th. As for Gothenburg, they will challenge Hershey at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
