Softball Recap: Davenport Central Comes Up Short

Davenport Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Davenport North Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Blue Devils have suffered since May 31st.

Davenport Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-26. As for Davenport North, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-19.

Coming up, Davenport Central will venture away from home to take on Camanche at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Davenport North has already played their next match (against Louisa-Muscatine), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
