Last Friday, Summit Charter Collegiate Academy was fully in charge, breezing past Orange Cove 65-13. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 576th, while the Titans are ranked 1271st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jennie Gallegos was a one-woman wrecking crew for Summit Charter Collegiate Academy as she posted 29 points. The dominant performance gave Gallegos a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Evonie Mendoza, who had ten points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Farmersville). They blew past Wonderful College Prep Academy, posting a 69-14 victory. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Aztecs with their most commanding win of the season.

The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.0 points per game. As for Farmersville, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.
