High school basketball: Tyler Mallory of Alabama, Ari Long of California headline Stat Freaks

Pair of 60-point games headline this week's stat sheet stuffers.

Tyler Mallory of Greenville (Ala.) is this week's Stat Freak after dropping a career-high 63 points in a 92-89 win over Montgomery Catholic (Montgomery) on Jan. 31.

According to statistics submitted to MaxPreps, Mallory is the No. 16 scorer in the nation at 34.3 points per game. The 5-foot-7 senior has more than 1,000 points this season and 2,000 in his career.
Ari Long of Valley View (Moreno Valley, Calif.) is the girls Stat Freak after scoring 61 points in a 87-39 win over Lakeside (Lake Elsinore) on Jan. 31.

On Feb. 2 Long had a triple-double after finishing with 54 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists in a 94-84 win over Rancho Christian (Temecula, Calif.)

Long's week put her over the 3,000-point threshold for her career.
