Shelton came tearing into Thursday's game with 23 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.2 points), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Nebraska Lutheran Knights as they made off with a 64-44 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Nebraska Lutheran lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Samantha Hueske, who posted 12 points and eight rebounds. Tenley Williamson was another key player, putting up ten points.

Shelton's win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.5 points over those games. As for Nebraska Lutheran, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-8.

Coming up, Shelton will challenge Hay Springs at 6:00 p.m. on February 28th. Shelton's defense has only allowed 28.9 points per game this season, so Hay Springs' offense will have their work cut out for them. Nebraska Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
