Soccer Game Preview: Fairfax vs. Hamilton

Fairfax is 0-10 against Hamilton since January of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Fairfax Lions are taking a road trip to challenge the Hamilton Yankees at 2:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Friday, Fairfax didn't have quite enough to beat Los Angeles CES and fell 3-2. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Hamilton's offense. They came up short against Palisades on Friday, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, the Yankees can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 657th, while the Dolphins are ranked 70th).

Hamilton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Fairfax, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6-2.

Fairfax came up short against Hamilton in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Fairfax avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
