Basketball Game Preview: Mount Union Trojans vs. Central Cambria Red Devils

The Mount Union Trojans will venture away from home to take on the Central Cambria Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 66-31, which was the final score in Mount Union's tilt against Huntingdon on Tuesday. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Maddie Dimoff, who posted nine points. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Cailyn Skopic, who scored seven points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Central Cambria escaped with a win on Friday against Loyalsock Township by the margin of a single free throw, 40-39. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Red Devils' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Lancers are ranked 27th).

Mount Union's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Central Cambria, their win bumped their record up to 16-8.
