Preview: Adelanto Saints vs. Barstow Aztecs
The Adelanto Saints will be playing at home against the Barstow Aztecs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Barstow took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Adelanto, who comes in off a win.
Even though Adelanto has not done well against Victor Valley recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Adelanto secured a 49-44 W over Victor Valley. The win was just what Adelanto needed coming off of a 69-44 defeat in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Barstow's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They fell just short of Granite Hills by a score of 47-44. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Barstow has suffered yet this season.
Adelanto has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Barstow, their defeat was their seventh straight at home, which bumped their record down to 5-12.
Adelanto was able to grind out a solid win over Barstow when the teams last played on January 2nd, winning 42-31. Will Adelanto repeat their success, or does Barstow have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
