Basketball Recap: Bullard Piles Up the Points Against Mission Oak

Bullard won the last time they faced Mission Oak and things went their way on Saturday too. The Bullard Knights took their match with ease, bagging a 74-36 win over the Mission Oak Hawks. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 23 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Sanai Herod, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine boards. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in November of 2024. Caris Williams was another key player, going 6 of 11 en route to 17 points along with six boards and three steals.

Bullard was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mission Oak only racked up four assists.

Despite the loss, Mission Oak saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aiyana Murray posted 14 points and four steals. Murray is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Braelyn Serpa, who had eight points and three steals.

Bullard is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.1 points per game. As for Mission Oak, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

Bullard will square off against Fresno at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bullard is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games. As for Mission Oak, they will take on Strathmore at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Strathmore will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Mission Oak surely won't give up without a fight.
