Soccer Game Preview: Ocean View vs. Buena Park

The Ocean View Seahawks will head out to take on the Buena Park Coyotes at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Buena Park took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Ocean View, who comes in off a win.

If Buena Park heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Ocean View took over last week. The Seahawks walked away with a 3-1 win over Calvary Chapel on Thursday. Ocean View haven't had any issues with Calvary Chapel recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Buena Park has been on a difficult stretch since their win on December 20. They lost 3-0 to Segerstrom on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Buena Park can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1002nd, while Segerstrom are ranked 348th).

Buena Park's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16-2. As for Ocean View, their win bumped their record up to 7-5-3.

Ocean View beat Buena Park 2-0 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Seahawks since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
