Screven County barely beat Metter the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Screven County Gamecocks blew past the Metter Tigers 13-5 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Gamecocks, who have now won five matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Screven County is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. Metter is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Screven County will face off against Emanuel County Institute at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Metter, they will take on Jenkins County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
