Soccer Recap: Independence Takes a Loss

Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Lisbon Lions, falling 6-0. That's two games in a row now that Independence have lost by exactly six goals.

Independence's loss dropped their record down to 2-14-1. As for Lisbon, they now have a winning record of 5-4-2.

Coming up, Independence will be playing in front of their home fans against West Delaware at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Independence are facing West Delaware at the right time seeing as West Delaware are stuck on a 16-game losing streak. As for Lisbon, they will head out on the road to take on Vinton-Shellsburg at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
