Football Recap: Cedar Hill Longhorns vs. DeSoto Eagles
Cedar Hill lost against DeSoto back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Longhorns were beaten by the Eagles 46-9. The Longhorns were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
DeSoto had a senior duo take command as Legend Howell threw for 228 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes and Ethan Feaster picked up 111 receiving yards and one score. Howell's passing game has become a key predictor of the Eagles' success: the team is 4-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Antron Edmundson got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.
This is the second loss in a row for Cedar Hill and nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for DeSoto, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
