Football Recap: Archbishop Carroll Falls Short Against Ranked Bishop Mcnamara

Archbishop Carroll is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Bishop McNamara. The Lions lost to the Mustangs on the road by a 35-18 margin. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the loss, Archbishop Carroll still got an impressive performance from Tk Davis, who rushed for 131 yards and one score on only 14 carries. Davis' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 131 rushing yards.

Archbishop Carroll now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Bishop McNamara, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-3.

Coming up, Archbishop Carroll will square off against Riverdale Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will be up against the Crusaders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.8 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Bishop McNamara, they will host Gonzaga at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 12.5 points per game this season, so the Mustangs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
