Softball Recap: Bennington Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Bennington's offense. They came up short against the Gretna East Griffins on Tuesday, falling 6-0. The Badgers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bennington saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Redmond, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Bennington now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Gretna East, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bennington will square off against Lincoln Northwest at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Gretna East, they will take on Hastings at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Griffins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
