Football Recap: Clovis Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Las Cruces, Clovis was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 30-23 victory over the Organ Mountain Knights. The win almost wasn't to be: the Wildcats were down 20-6 in the second quarter.

Clovis' victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Organ Mountain, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Clovis is set to take on their familiar foe Hobbs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Organ Mountain will face off against rival Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
